Laila Goodridge is the MLA for Fort McMurray-Lac La Biche – a community she’s called home for her entire life.
Goodridge is passionate about serving the people of her riding, fighting for the issues important to northern Alberta, and restoring the Alberta Advantage for all. Goodridge is a particularly strong advocate for the energy sector, having spent several years working in Alberta’s oil sands. She believes strongly in defending and diversifying Alberta’s energy sector and the good jobs it provides.
In addition to serving as MLA, Goodridge is the Parliamentary Secretary for the Francophonie, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Members’ Services and a member of the Special Standing Committee on Members’ Services and the Select Special Democratic Accountability Committee.
Goodridge believes strongly in servant leadership. When she’s not in the Legislature, Goodridge can be found with her husband Niall exploring all Fort McMurray-Lac La Biche has to offer.
